European Council on Eating Disorders

September 15^rd-17^th 2011 in Florence, Italy

The next meeting of the European Council on Eating Disorders (ECED) will be in Italy on September 15-17^th 2011.  The meeting will follow the traditional ECED format of debates,  plenary sessions, and formal and informal discussion groups.

As is also traditional for the ECED, the conference will be held in a wonderful setting. The Villa La Pietra, a Renaissance villa outside Florence, was built in the fifteenth century by the Macinghi family. 

In the seventeenth century Cardinal Capponi made substantial renovations in the Baroque style.

In the twentieth century Sir Arthur Acton and his parents created beautiful gardens in which the villa is set.
